Force Civil Solutions Ltd. is currently seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and hardworking Pipelayer / Labourer to join our civil construction team.
This position is ideal for someone with experience or knowledge in water and sewer pipe installation, cable and conduit installation, residential servicing, and general civil construction labour. The successful candidate will work as part of a fast-paced crew on projects throughout the Greater Edmonton and Calgary areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of water and sewer pipe.
- Assist with cable and conduit installation.
- Support residential and civil construction servicing projects.
- Help prepare trenches, work areas, tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks.
- Assist pipelayers, operators, and supervisors with pipe placement, bedding, backfill preparation, and site cleanup.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with measuring, grading, spotting, and general site preparation.
- Work safely in and around trenches, excavations, heavy equipment, utilities, and active construction areas.
- Follow company safety policies, site-specific procedures, and supervisor direction.
- Participate in workplace safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Report to work fit for duty and ready to perform physically demanding labour.
- Assist with load securement and equipment-related tasks as required.
- Perform other general construction labour duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous pipelaying, civil construction, underground utility, or labourer experience considered an asset.
- Knowledge of water and sewer pipe installation considered an asset.
- Knowledge of cable and conduit installation considered an asset.
- Residential construction or servicing experience considered an asset.
- Good knowledge of load securement considered an asset.
- Equipment operation experience considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, trenches, traffic, utilities, and changing site conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding labour, including lifting, carrying, bending, digging, shovelling, and repetitive movement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate and work respectfully with coworkers, supervisors, clients, and site personnel.
Required Licence
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s licence required.
- Minimum 2 years of Class 5 non-GDL driving experience required.
- Current driver’s abstract required upon hire.

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular physical labour, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, digging, shovelling, using hand and power tools, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work around active construction equipment and excavation areas.
