We are currently seeking a Traffic Administrator to join our team at our Winnipeg Head Office.
Summary
Reporting to the Director of Traffic, the Traffic Administrator is responsible for coordinating the movement of loads and shipments requiring special handling. This position works closely with customers and internal staff to ensure all rating, operational, and service requirements are met.
As a member of the Traffic/Sales and Marketing team, the Traffic Administrator will have extensive interaction with all areas of the business, both by telephone and in person, and will play an important role in supporting effective communication, coordination, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide spot quoting to customers via email and phone
- Coordinate the movement of freight requiring special handling
- Communicate with all internal departments to ensure all are aware of service requirements
- Communicate with external customers and connecting carriers to meet service requirements
- Support the Traffic department reviewing and developing rates
- Assist with customer service activit9ies such as rates and tracing as required
- Complete other types of job related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year freight operations experience
- Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills - MS Word and Excel
