Our client is seeking a Milestone Scheduler II to coordinate and maintain key project milestones across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role focuses on simplifying schedule tracking, improving visibility, and enabling informed decision-making through strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What's the Job?
- Coordinate, maintain, and update a standardized set of approximately 17 key milestones across multiple projects
- Engage proactively with project managers, engineering, construction, procurement, and other stakeholders to gather accurate schedule updates
- Drive ownership and accountability for milestone updates across project teams
- Ensure milestone schedules reflect current execution strategies, risks, and changes in scope or timelines
- Utilize Primavera P6 to manage and maintain consistent schedule data across projects
- Promote adoption of milestone schedules by delivering clear, relevant, and actionable outputs
- Provide regular reporting on milestone status, including upcoming critical dates, risks, and variances
- Support analytics and reporting through Excel, Power BI, or similar tools
- Identify and implement improvements to milestone tracking, reporting, and scheduling processes
- Support project execution teams by ensuring scheduling processes are efficient and add value
- Adapt to changing project requirements and continuously refine scheduling approaches
What's Needed?
- 3+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or a related field
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to proactively engage stakeholders and drive deliverables to completion
- Experience with reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI is an asset
- Understanding of project lifecycle and key execution milestones is considered an asset
- Ability to pass required background checks, including criminal record, education verification, and employment verification
