Job Description:
Olde York Fish & Chips, a celebrated dining establishment known for its warm hospitality and exceptional service, is seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. If you enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience for guests, we invite you to apply for this part-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave.
- Reset tables quickly and accurately according to Olde Yorke standards.
- Sweep and tidy dining areas throughout service to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Assist servers by removing used dishes, glassware, and cutlery.
- Refill water stations, condiments, and other dining room supplies as needed.
- Keep service stations organized, stocked, and clean.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of entrances, waiting areas, and dining room floors.
- Support the front-of-house team to ensure efficient table turnover and excellent guest service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Front-of-House Manager
Requirements:
- Previous experience in restaurant industry or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a professional demeanor.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work the scheduled shifts.
