Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities without causing damage. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to work in various environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment for safe excavation of soil around utilities.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Collaborate with crew members to execute excavation plans effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the hydrovac unit.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on-site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers regarding job progress and any issues that arise.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with excavation techniques and safety practices in construction environments.
- Previous experience with hydrovac operations is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
