Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Vehicle Dismantler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely disassembling vehicles to recover usable parts and materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills within the automotive recycling industry.
Responsibilities
- Safely dismantle vehicles by removing parts such as engines, transmissions, and body panels using appropriate tools
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble vehicle components accurately and efficiently
- Identify salvageable parts for resale or recycling purposes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and productivity
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during dismantling operations
- Properly label, store, or dispose of vehicle parts and fluids according to company policies
- Assist team members with loading and unloading vehicle components as needed
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with automotive parts preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience with power tools such as drills, grinders, or saws is a plus
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience in vehicle dismantling or automotive recycling is advantageous but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20-$25.21 per hour
