Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is vital in creating a positive dining experience and supporting the overall operations of our restaurant or hospitality establishment. Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and a polished appearance are essential for success in this position.
Shifts: 1-3 shifts a week, weekend (day and evening ) availability is essential
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Handle reservations and manage seating arrangements
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and assist with reservation bookings or general questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage guest flow during busy hours to minimize wait times
- Assist with special events or large parties as needed
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service throughout all interactions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Experience in customer service roles is desirable

Pay: $17.60 per hour
