The Tag Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all SMB advertisers have a functioning client tag implemented on their website. This role serves as the primary technical resource for tag-related seller support, resolving implementation issues through SFDC, joining live calls with sellers and advertisers to accelerate resolution, and proactively communicating product updates and insights across the sales floor. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical knowledge of web tagging and ad tech, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts for both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Tag Support and Issue Resolution
- Resolve tag tickets in SFDC in adherence with established SLAs.
- Join calls with sellers and advertisers as needed to facilitate quicker resolution of Tag implementation issues.
- Adhere to all support framework processes and escalation paths.
Insights and Stakeholder Communication
- Provide the SP Manager with visibility into themes, trends, and insights surfaced through tag tickets.
- Proactively communicate tag product updates or changes to the sales team via the Tag newsletter or other methods.
- Source and consolidate seller feedback to deliver voice-of-sales input to product teams.
Knowledge Management and Enablement
- Maintain documentation, how-tos, and FAQs to scale tag knowledge and expertise across the sales floor.
- Collaborate with L&D teams to deliver trainings as needed and surface coaching opportunities to sales managers.
Performance Measurement
- Measure the impact of tag implementation improvements using the Tag Revenue Dashboard.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with HTML, CSS, and intermediate knowledge of JavaScript.
Knowledge of tag managers (e.g., GTM, Tealium, Segment).
Foundational knowledge of the AdTech ecosystem (Pinterest, Meta, Google, etc.).
Knowledge of online advertising, web analytics, and e-commerce/retail verticals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with, presenting to, and managing internal and external partners and customers.
Familiarity with sales support or technical escalation workflows in a scaled environment.
Experience supporting sales organizations with technical enablement or training.
Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance business processes or decision-making, demonstrating fluency in AI concepts and applications.
