The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is the largest Centre for Education in Atlantic Canada with over 9,000 full-time, part-time and casual employees. Serving 50,000 students in 135 schools, our geographic region spans a 350 km radius.


The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is currently seeking candidates for various positions available in our French Immersion programs.

Immediate vacancies exist in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, Fall River school locations -

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in Education
Eligible for a Nova Scotia Teacher's Certificate through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development -
Satisfactory French Proficiency Interview (FPI) through the HRCE's French Program Department (see details below)

French Proficiency Interview:
The assessment process is approximately 60-75 minutes in duration. Candidates will be assessed on both oral and written language skills. Book your appointment by calling 902.464.2000 ext 4413.
