Specifics
• Follow up on supplier actions/ responses to problems and track responses.
- Support operational Leaders in daily troubleshooting. Assist in responding and recovering any units that experience faults and obstructions in an efficient manner.
- Actively support and participate in the planning and execution of new automation project deployments in the facility.
- Ensured timely exchange of units from active state to maintenance, or service, as required. This person must be the focal point to the Maintenance team and make decisions accordingly.
- Perform basic sensor calibration procedures, when necessary, as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.
- Identify improvement opportunities for active routes and report them to plant team and supplier.
- Participate on Plant PIV team with pedestrian awareness content for operators to assist in any required day to day interaction with material automation technology.
- Train the team on basic reset functions and daily Pre-OP checklists activities in order not to deteriorate equipment performance.
- Ensure required maintenance happens in a timely manner and track on BPD.
Direct Responsibilities
- Sustain the business mitigating downtime and ensure all active automated material delivery routes continue to run smoothly.
- Identify root cause of AMR (Automated Mobile Robots) faults and obstructions and drive root cause analysis and improvement.
- Collect and consolidate data (errors, faults, etc.) to support Plant leadership or Manufacturing Optimization directions/decisions.
- Train new operators to the automation procedures, quick troubleshooting and standardized work involving AMR interactions. This person will be the Super Key User for Automation (guide the team through troubleshooting)
- Lead awareness and safety training around automation technology in the plant.
- Become a Supply chain SME for AMR operational interfaces (e.g. Seegrid/OTTO/JBT Supervisor/Fleet Management). Utilize live suppliers’ software to identify problems, bottlenecks.

Prerequisites
- Grade 12 diploma/ GED required: Bachelor’s degree or College diploma or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of manufacturing plant floor experience.
- High functional capability with supply chain floor systems –VaaS (Vision as a System), etc.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and lean material processes.
- Experience with material automation technology implementation and execution
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Relatively high level of analytical ability.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes
- Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related areas required.
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required.
- Open-minded and willing to use data to improve productivity and performance; use data to help drive productivity improvements in the plant.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.
