Talan Canada is growing and looking to strengthen its teams with several Java developers for the Montreal office, able to work with clients in several industres.
Responsibilities may vary depending on the mandate, so we are looking for dynamic and autonomous people capable of:
Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the systems used
Design, develop and deploy new applications as well as improvements to existing applications
Perform the testing and debugging of applications
Keep relevant stakeholders or team members up to date on project progress
Coach and support project team members with the tasks you assign to them
To apply, you must have:
Canadian or US bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Strong technical knowledge in Java development
At least 3 years of experience as a developer
Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
Bilingual, French and English
It is strongly recommended to have:
Experience on DevOps and Agile approaches
Experience in virtualization technologies, protocols and orchestration, in particular Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift platforms
And several successful experiences, with several of the following technologies:
Front-end: ReactJS, NodeJS, AngularJS, Jest, Webpack, Sass, React-Native, Cypress
Back-end: Spring Boot, Java 11+ / Kotlin / Scala, JUnit, PostgresSQL, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Maven, Gradle
Infrastructure: Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins
Core technologies and Java components: JavaEE, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, JEE / J2SE, POJO, Glassfish, Tomcat, Play, Scala, Gradle, Struts
Architecture & design Concepts: ESB, REST / SOAP, MicroServices, MVC model, UML modeling, JEE, Spring, security / OWASP, experience in architecture documentation.
Databases: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, PL / SQL, modeling.
Build environments & frameworks: Eclipse, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Sonar, OpenShift.
Runtime environments: WebSphere AppServer, Glassfish, WildFly, MQ, Android, Windows, Linux
We are looking primarily for employees recruited in permanent positions at Talan, but are open to working with freelancers
