We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to assist our client, an established Oil & Gas company in Edmonton for a contract position with the potential to become permanent. Typical duties include:
  • The HR Manager is a trusted advisor to Senior Management to manage Human Resource initiatives, programs, and activities.
  • They will have a generalist approach to support, coach and strategically plan initiatives as needed by the business and provide compliance advice where needed.
  • Strong recruitment experience with the ability to “think out of the box” in order to source candidates in a challenging market as well as developing a retention strategy.
  • Experience in performance management, leading investigations, and manage employee relations issues.
  • Fundamental understanding of Payroll functions and time keeping software.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards legislation and progressive HR policies and practices.
  • Strong general computer and analytical skills (Microsoft Office Suite & HRIS Software).
  • Exceptionally effective communications ability including active listening, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in a HR Management role.
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to detail with solid organizational and analytical skills required.
  • Highly adaptive and flexible.
