The Hotel at Falcon Lake is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and take pride in keeping a property looking its best, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain our hotel, cottages, restaurants, and guest facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public areas.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, windows, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, flooring, and general carpentry.
- Perform seasonal outdoor maintenance, including groundskeeping and snow removal when required.
- Maintain pools, hot tubs, and other guest amenities (training provided if required).
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with special projects and renovations as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
