Overview
We are seeking a skilled Security Camera Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining security camera systems across various commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in electrical systems, networking, and construction. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan camera system layouts.
- Install security cameras, sensors, and related equipment in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and low voltage wiring techniques to mount cameras and run cabling efficiently.
- Configure CCTV systems, including network settings for remote access and monitoring.
- Integrate security systems with telecommunication and computer networking infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on installed systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with construction teams during building phases to coordinate installations within existing structures.
- Adhere to electrical codes, schematics, and safety protocols during all phases of installation.
- Document installation processes and system configurations for client records and future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Construction experience or background in electrical work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and telecommunication systems related to CCTV setups.
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge for mounting equipment securely on various surfaces.
- Familiarity with CCTV technology, including camera types and system integration.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience with sensors, alarms, and other security devices is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently.
