We are currently looking to hire a full-time Production Supervisor- Washfloor/ Soiled Linen Department to join our team!
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily production within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, and hands-on experience in factory environments. This role is vital in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a productive team environment. The Production Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating assembly line activities in the soiled linen department, managing warehouse operations, and utilizing various tools and equipment to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- On a daily basis ensure staffing levels are adequate within the department and document staff attendance and overtime.
- Supervise, train, and motivate laundry operators and line staff.
- Ensure all areas and equipment in the Washfloor department is operational.
- Organize and prioritize workstations.
- Control the flow of linen production in various departments.
- Ensure all production is completed according to schedule and in order of priority.
- Ensure finished goods meet customer and company quality standards.
- Communicate regularly with Management and other departments to ensure all departments are aware of linen flow needs in a timely manner (i.e. Iron Department is running out of Flannel Sheets-high demand item).
- Prioritize all specialized requests.
- Ensure employees are maintaining department quotas.
- Re-assign staff to ensure minimal production interruptions.
- Organize to ensure sufficient coverage for all breaks.
- Oversee shortages and ensure they are fast tracked.
- Document all downtime and production numbers.
- Ensure safety procedures are being followed, and PPE is being used where needed.
- Responsible for the safety of all personnel in the department.
- Perform any other assigned tasks as requested by the Production and Operations Manager.
Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing settings with a strong understanding of assembly line processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly.
- Prior experience working with assembly processes and quality control standards is highly desirable.
- Basic computer skills (production reports, email, timekeeping systems).
Working Conditions
This position is located in a Washfloor/ Soiled Linen department.
- Requires continual standing, walking, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and repetitive motion.
- Constant exposure to noise from machines in the plant.
- Constant exposure to “moving” equipment – must be alert at all times.
- Constant exposure to lint/dust particles in the air.
- Constant exposure to soiled linen smells.
- Intermittent exposure to heat and humidity generated from equipment.
- Hep-B vaccination is recommended and provided.
Shifts
Supervisors generally work 4 X 11 hour shifts a week (one of days has be a Saturday or a Sunday). The successful candidate must be open to schedule changes required to meet business needs.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent .
Technical or supervisory training preferred.
Experience
Must have Supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant.
A minimum of 2 years experience in commercial laundry or manufacturing environment will be considered an asset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
