Part Time Administrative Assistant
About Us
Peak House is a licensed, voluntary, ten-week, live-in, drug and alcohol treatment program for youth seeking freedom from problematic substance use. Our program is located in Vancouver, operated by Pacific Youth and Family Services Society, and funded by Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. We have been in operation for over 35 years .
In this position the Part Time Administrative Assistant:
· Provides clerical support to the Management Team
· Answering telephone, directing inquiries and supporting the program’s general administrative needs
· Organization and maintenance of all administration files including personnel
· Supporting accountant with required data
· Supporting annual audit process
· Accounts payable /receivable/ bank deposits
· Supporting agency contacts, donor and stakeholder communications
· Other duties as directed by the Executive Director or Program Manager
· Input, transmission, and disbursement of semi-monthly payroll with accountant support
· Responsible for keeping up to date employee benefit and time banks
· Ensuring proper maintenance of all office equipment and supplies
· Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
The Perfect Candidate
· Knowledge of office procedures
· Excellent knowledge of computer programs Office 365 (excel, word, internet, accounting software)
· Familiarity with standard office equipment
· Ability to manage time and priorities to meet deadlines
· Ability to communicate clearly with professional systems
· Ability to work independently, without constant supervision
· High level of integrity
· Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Must comply with the requirements of a criminal record check prior to commencing employment and every five years thereafter.
- Above average skills in AI applications, social media, graphic design and accounting
- Familiarity with database and information management systems
