Semko Contracting Ltd. is seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Carpenter / Carpenter’s Helper for commercial and residential projects throughout the Okanagan.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with framing, finishing, installations, and general construction tasks
- Measure, cut, and prepare building materials
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, lift, and move materials as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work site
- Work outdoors and at heights when necessary
- Follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Support project completion while maintaining quality workmanship
Requirements:
- Previous construction or carpentry experience considered an asset
- Willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to follow safety procedures and site instructions
