The Information Technology department at Arbor Memorial is currently recruiting for a Scanning Clerk for a full-time (3-month) contract for a digitization project. In this role the candidate will be working out of the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home – Scarborough Chapel or Resthaven Memorial Gardens locations.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Remove contract documents and attachments from filing cabinets.
Remove any staples or paper clips from documents.
Record the contract number and customer name in an excel file for quality control. purposes and to generate a cover sheet for each file with a bar code.
Place the bar code cover sheet at front of each file.
Check that file documents are in a specific order.
Set the scanner to a specific setting.
Scan the documents.
Check the quality of the scanning.
Return files to cabinets (or shred).
The successful candidate must have the following:
Possesses a minimum grade 12 education or equivalent and 2 years of previous office administration experience.
Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work with various office equipment (scanner, photocopier and fax machine).
