Reporting to the Credit Manager - Credit Flow, the Credit Intern (Co-Op) is responsible for the accurate and timely credit adjudication for all Canadian markets. This is a four (4) month placement. Note: This position is available for individuals in a registered university or college co op program.
Assist the Credit Coordinator with supplier setup and application flow.
Analyze credit reports provided, and thoughtfully summarize in writing.
Engage in discussions with our partners to understand all aspects of a deal including asset value.
Communicate and build relationships with all departments to ensure efficient work flow;
Review credit applications and make recommendations to a senior Credit Analyst utilizing policies/guidelines and using good business practice.
Review credit requests and make decisions independently.
Assist on other projects, including for example auto-scoring and new sales programs.
Any other related tasks associated with the position.
Undertaking a post-secondary degree- university degree in business co-op program
Ability to analyze credit reports
Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite; Financial analysis and sales aptitude required
Knowledge of leasing, business operating structures and contract law
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Motivated and goal driven
