Reporting to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent, the Senior Engineer Supervisor, Water Resources, is responsible for leading the water planning function under the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent, leading the water planning function by developing and executing site-wide water strategies, overseeing water forecasting for near, medium, and long term availability, infrastructure planning, and ensuring monitoring programs support compliance and informed decision-making. This role will also provide technical leadership and QA/QC oversight, manage water-related risks and cross-functional coordination, and mentor the team while ensuring all work meets professional and operational standards.
To be successful, we are looking for a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience in overseeing and coordinating multiple internal resources and external consultants in high functioning, collaborative teams. The candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to develop and communicate practical recommendations to mine management, engineers, and operational personnel. Demonstrated experience with water planning, modelling, and infrastructure planning is required. The ability to work well in a team environment, manage consultants, and oversee planning deliverables is integral to the role.
