Summary
The Host or Hostess is the ambassador of the restaurant. Will meet and greet all customers and take them to their tables and will inform them about our restaurant services. Assist guest with all and any questions and monitor the flow of customers throughout the restaurant. The Carousel Café is a full-service family restaurant in the heart of Centre Island. We are a high-volume restaurant with licensed seating capacity for 350 guests.
Job Duties
· Greet guests and seat guests in assigned sections.
· Manage floorplan to ensure even seating throughout restaurant.
· Opening and closing procedures.
· Side duties as assigned by manager (rolling cutlery, polishing glassware, light cleaning).
· Complete daily operational checklists.
· Assisting FOH team where necessary.
· Ensure the host station is clean and organized.

· Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
· Able to work under pressure.
· Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
· Able to make quick and effective decisions.
· Able to follow verbal and written directions.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Able to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
Compensation
- Ferry card provided
- $17.60/hr
Pay: $17.60 per hour
