The successful applicant will provide research support for a project involving teachers’ experiences with enlivening treaty education through engagements with Land, Literature and Languages (Territoires, littératures et langues) in French immersion Education in Treaty 4, Saskatchewan.
Duties may include:
- Attending training workshops/tutorials
- Writing literature reviews
- Transcribing Data (French interviews)
- Data entry and analysis
- Updating literature reviews
- Formatting manuscripts
- Training will be provided in research ethics and protocols
Position Requirements
Applicants are required to be a bilingual undergraduate or graduate student in Education and have experience:
- Reading Indigenous children’s literature and interest in Treaty Education/Truth and Reconciliation
- writing literature reviews
- with academic writing and oral language requirements in French
- with APA style
Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
It is expected the research assistant will work for up to 6.5 hours of work for the duration of the contract (depending on the availability of work).
