Early Childhood Educator Support Staff
1. Ensure the safety of children and the children’s basic needs are being met
2. Is an active participant in children’s play and activities, and models this behavior to others
3. Is responsible for conducting scheduled programming time each week to complete research, develop programming charts, complete documentation and to check in with other Educators about the program and individual children’s needs
4. Will keep a record of programming, documentation and discussion
5. Develops and implements programming that is interest based, child-centered, and meets each child’s individual developmental needs while keeping in mind the Society’s vision, mission and philosophy
6. Will implement the Curriculum as set out by the Program Directors and approved by the Board of Directors, and will participate in all aspects of this implementation as needed
7. Documents children’s play daily to record for programming purposes, displays and to aid in supporting the development of each individual child
8. Is responsible for updating children's daily reports on Lillio so that they may be sent out to parents. (Diapering, Food, Health Notes, Naptime and Learning Stories, etc.)
9. Is responsible for planning for and implementing two group times per day including songs & finger plays, story books, and cooperative games when appropriate
10. Is responsible for ensuring the Ages & Stages Developmental Assessment tool is completed for each child every 6 months (summer and winter) or as needed and that a copy is supplied for the parent/guardian to complete as well
11. Is responsible for keeping individual child assessment tools, learning stories, work and photographs of all children and ensuring that these remain available for parent/guardian(s) throughout the year.
12. Support children and educators during routine and transition periods
Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
