We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cladding Specialist to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install cladding materials according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and levels to accurately perform installations
- Assist with surface preparation, including caulking and sealing joints for weatherproofing
- Perform heavy lifting of cladding panels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret construction blueprints to ensure precise placement of materials
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in construction and carpentry tasks
- Prior experience in construction or exterior finishing projects, especially cladding installation
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to handle precise measurements and cuts
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints and seams
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely, often requiring heavy lifting capabilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately for proper installation procedures
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various building tasks
- Good physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions and standing for extended periods
