Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our team of dedicated dental professionals. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Abeldent dental software.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Assist with pediatric dental care, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Utilize CEREC 3D scanner technology for dental impressions.
- Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dentistry to enhance communication with the dental team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice is required as we are a large practice with a busy schedule.
- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Abeldent, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Dental terminology and tooth numbers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion towards patients.
- Certification in Dental Assisting and good standing with the ODAA
- Willingness to learn and grow as a part of our team and contribute to oral health of our patients!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
