Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality work that meets safety and aesthetic standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or power tools
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts safely when required for material handling
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, machining, and mechanical operations
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure proper storage of materials and tools
- Assist in assembly or manufacturing processes as needed to support production goals
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finishes meet specifications and standards
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and power tools safely
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience with welding, machining, or assembly processes is a plus
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and quality
- Ability to work with various materials and surfaces requiring different coating techniques
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
