What You’ll Be Doing
- Repairs and maintenance on farm machinery including tractors, planters, tillage equipment, grain handling equipment, and other agricultural machinery (50% of role)
- Minor truck and trailer maintenance including air lines, greasing, tires, lights, and small repairs (10% of role)
- Operate farm equipment during planting, tillage, grain handling, fertilizer application, and general farm operations (40% of role)
- Assist as a backup operator where needed throughout the season
- Perform daily inspections, greasing, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Take pride in keeping equipment field-ready, clean, organized, and operating properly
- Keep equipment, shop areas, and workspaces organized and maintained
- Assist with seasonal operational demands and changing priorities throughout the year
- Work closely with management and team members to keep operations running efficiently and safely
What We’re Looking For
- Strong farming background, you understand how a cash crop farm operates and have grown up or worked extensively in agriculture
- Minimum 3 years farming experience required
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment or farm equipment mechanical experience required
- Mechanically capable and comfortable troubleshooting and repairing agricultural equipment
- Experience operating tractors, planters, tillage equipment, grain buggy, sprayers, or similar machinery
- Comfortable spending long hours in equipment during busy seasons
- Self-starter who can work independently and stay organized under pressure
- Someone who enjoys variety and doesn’t mind that every day can look different
- Someone who takes pride in equipment, workmanship, and doing things properly
- AZ license considered a strong asset
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
