Overview
We are a small, established, business in the construction industry seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth office operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting various administrative functions. Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors, handling phone calls, and emails, with professionalism and courtesy
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office, and Sage 50
- Maintain organized filing systems both electronically and physically, ensuring easy retrieval of documents
- Perform bookkeeping and basic financial record keeping using Sage 50
- Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries via phone, email, or in person with proper etiquette
- Support administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, scheduling appointments, and managing our service calendar
- Handle clerical duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, and preparing reports or correspondence
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Support office management tasks that enhance overall organizational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven office experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Understanding of the fundamentals of bookkeeping for accounts receivables/payables
- Familiarity with Sage 50 or bookkeeping software considered an asset
- Excellent computer skills including data entry, typing, proofreading, and document management
- Prior clerical experience in a professional setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and email
- Experience working in a fast-paced office within the construction industry will be beneficial
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Experience with office equipment such as filing systems, copiers, and scanners, is desirable

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
