Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing & Communications for 7 Eleven Canada will provide leadership in creating and delivering marketing, innovation and communication strategies for the country.
This individual will work closely with Operations and our Merchandising team to identify market trends, opportunities to pursue, ways to build our competitive advantages, clear communication paths to profitability including key growth initiatives focused on both short term and long-term visions for our platforms, communication, innovation and partnerships.
The Director of Marketing & Communications also provides leadership in creating and delivering the marketing and communications strategy for 7-Eleven's portfolio of digital products (7-Rewards Loyalty Program, Mobile Checkout, 7Now Delivery, 7-eleven.com) that provide "frictionless convenience" to the consumer and is key to delivering future growth; and will be responsible for leading the strategy to monetize media placement on our owned digital channels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Identify market trends and leverage category, competitive, and customer insights and analytics to aggressively grow sales and customer

Lead the brand strategy ensuring a holistic approach and complement across all customer
- Partner with internal and external teams to activate the branding and omnichannel media strategy across all customer
- Maintain and own budget for Marketing/Advertising in Canada and ensure adherence to plan and
- Lead the annual marketing plan for 7-Eleven Canada, which supports the 7-Eleven Strategic Map along with integration of all digital products like 7 Rewards (loyalty) and 7 Now (Delivery).

Responsible for all aspects of the digital footprint in Canada including 7 Rewards, 7 Now, 7 Now Marketplace, & Mobile

Ensures Canada specific digital contracts (Example - DoorDash, UberEats, Skip the Dishes) are executed to support the digital programs and key business relationships are maintained within Canada while partnering with USA digital team on shared areas of the business.

Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of CRM communications to enhance customer loyalty, including customer contact strategies across various channels (SMS, email, app notifications, social media).

Manage and develop the Marketing and Communications team that includes 7+ Marketing Managers, individual marketing contractors and any related agency
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews, analyzing communications, digital product portfolio, invoicing, and measurement tracking, analyzing effectiveness and growth opportunities.

Create executive-level summaries, progress updates, and impact reports to provide actionable insights on marketing performance and optimization strategies.
What You Need to Succeed:

Experience in retail, QSR, CPG and Franchise and/or DSD organization
- Proficiency and demonstrated results with shopper marketing, in-store communications, agency
- Strong general management disposition and financial agility.
- Able to quickly connect decisions & actions to P&L impact, internalize all aspects of a complex budget. Able to lead cross-functional development teams of brand/product managers, merchants, developers, and operations
- Proficiency and demonstrated results with digital marketing, mar-tech platforms and CRM/Loyalty Programs
- Flexible & responsive in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple & shifting priorities.
- Strong project manager.
- Confident engaging/leading cross- functional teams.

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree; MBA preferred

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 CAD annually plus bonuses
Pay offered will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the actual qualifications and experience of the individual, and any additional non-discriminatory, relevant to the position and/or location.
Location: Qualified candidates may work remotely. However, if you are located in BC, attendance at in-person meetings with internal stakeholders and other company events will be required as needed.
