Summary
You will be responsible for managing and driving retail sales within the Atlantic’s Region, with the focus being in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Regional Sales Manager will build brand awareness, customer relationships, loyalty and sales revenue. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, identifying sales opportunities regionally and cultivating meaningful and exceptional customer relationships within a highly regulated market.
Responsibilities
- Directly support and collaborate with the VP of Sales to define, implement and manage overall sales strategy, working closely with the marketing and sales team to define sales objectives.
- Collaborate with the operations and marketing department to develop and enhance our brand execution in store, identifying new opportunities to create and increase brand awareness and brand exposure at the retail level;
- Implement and execute on company marketing initiatives to drive awareness, sell through of products and to develop a loyal customer base.
- Cultivate and maintain key relationships with customers, vendors and stakeholders; deliver a consistent exceptional customer experience in all interactions and transactions.
- Develop and implement key account planning initiatives to improve client results, market opportunity and market share.
- Identify distribution opportunities by building and strengthening partnerships that maximize sales volume through distribution, visibility and service.
- Generate sponsorship opportunities, as well as new sales leads.
- Effectively create, implement and manage a budget to increase sales volume and manage necessary sales expenses within the budget allocated.
- Develop and define key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics/targets for the sales team.
- Lead the ongoing management, training and professional development of the regional sales representative team.
- Develop a sales route plan and map for the sales team to maximize efficiency within their assigned sales territory.
- Utilize strategic key account planning principals to establish goals and projections in order to fulfill and exceed sales objectives; and
- Manage and lead a team of sales representatives to achieve sales goals and objectives within assigned territory; and
- Other duties as required.
Experience / Education
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent.
- Exceptional organization, time-management and prioritization skills.
- The ability to cultivate relationships with key accounts/customers and the ability to provide exceptional customer experiences across all channels.
- The motivation to thrive while working independently and remotely.
- Previous success in growing brand awareness and brand recognition within a given region, while using innovative strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Access to a vehicle and a valid Provincial Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract.
- The ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- 5+ years’ experience working as a sales representative, account manager or territory manager.
- A proven track record of exceeding sales metrics and KPI’s while working remotely and independently.
- 5+ years’ experience as key account manager within a highly regulated industry.
- Experience leading and developing teams of sales representatives towards exceptional results.
- Solid experience in CRM solutions, implementation of CRM systems would be considered an asset.
- Experience in developing and creating effective sales route-maps
