Manager of Education Delivery (Health Care Assistant Program and Post Graduate Diploma in Canadian Nursing Program)

Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Education Delivery for the HCA/PGDCN Program, this position is responsible for managing the didactic faculty and student success coordinator while adhering to Stenberg College’s processes, policies, and procedures for the HCA/PGDCN Program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Nursing Programs Academic Manager, proactively recruits, contracts and schedules new faculty;
Provides new faculty members with a comprehensive orientation to the Stenberg College HCA/PGDCN Program semester specific curriculum, educational technologies (Moodle), classroom management strategies, and related policies, processes, and procedures.
Connects faculty with the Curriculum Team to ensure that they are provided with all instructor resource materials such as instructor manuals, videos, curriculum packs, online instructor manuals, textbooks and media equipment needed to deliver the curriculum;
Responsible for the development of a nursing team which shares a solid and deep trust in each other, the team’s purpose, and the drive to become the definition of excellence in industry;
Evaluates the teaching, professional needs and competency of the online didactic nursing faculty through instructor audits, performance reviews, and student feedback to ensure the appropriate curriculum is being delivered;
Manages and supports both the faculty members and the Student Success Coordinators to ensure that their job expectations are met and that quality assurance and continuous improvement are achieved;
Designs and implements delivery resources, workshops, seminars, learning communities and other programs to develop faculty-teaching/delivery excellence;
Ensures that all program supplies and reference materials are available for faculty to access. This may include working with the Communications and Logistics Administrators to order didactic related delivery supplies/resources.
Stays current on effective teaching and learning practices for in class and online learning environments – most especially Learner Engagement, foster these within the faculty, and develop a plan for integrating them into classroom/online instructional activities;

Must be a Registered RN with a minimum of 5 years of Nursing experience. International Nursing Experience is preferred. Masters Degree in Nursing, Education or Leadership is preferred.
Candidates must have experience leading a team and a demonstrated commitment to involvement in the expansion of the profession.
Working knowledge of Moodle is preferred.
Proficiency in instructional innovation, including technology in higher education.
Committed to understanding the needs of a diverse population of faculty, staff and students and able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Proficiency in theory and best practices in assessment of student learning outcomes in academic programs in higher education.
Event and workshop planning experience preferred.
Superior proficiency in Microsoft
