Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respirologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory medicine and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role involves diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. The Respirologist will work in a medical office environment. Renumeration will be based on a fee-for-service agreement, part-time hours to start, potential to move to full-time hours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with respiratory conditions, including history-taking and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Telus Health for patient documentation and management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to patients.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health management and treatment options.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Respirology or Pulmonology.
- Board certification in Respirology is preferred.
- Proven experience in medication administration and patient care within a medical office or acute care setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to manage pain effectively while addressing the needs of diverse patient populations.
