Municipal Peace Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

-Must be 18yrs of age

-Hold a valid unrestricted MB Class 4 Driver's License

-Must have law enforcement experience AND have graduated from a recognized law enforcement academy or agency

-Must be able to provide a clear criminal record and child abuse registry check

-Must possess a valid standard first aid and CPR certificate

As a PBLE Peace Officer you will be tasked with:

-Enforcing Municipal Bylaws such as property standards, noise, off road vehicles, traffic enforcement and issuing Provincial Offences Act and Manitoba Bylaw Enforcement Act tickets

-Preserving and Maintaining the Public Peace, Safety and Health

-Obtaining and Executing Entry and Inspection Warrants

-Enforcing Municipal Orders

-Conducting Property and Building Inspections

-Process Serving

-Conducting Investigations

-Evidence Collection

-Obtaining Statements and Interviewing

-Note Taking and Report Writing

-General Patrol Duties (Vehicle, Foot)

-Preparing Court Documents
