Why is this role important?
The Specialist, Media Strategy is responsible for assisting in the development of audience-focused, data driven advertising strategies for our client partners. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, consistently working to improve team processes and documentation, in order to maximize time spent on strategic thinking and optimizations. The successful candidate is client obsessed, ensuring our partners receive an exceptional level of service. Assist Media Strategy Manager(s) with ongoing client strategy support, working across pre-planning, planning, campaign set up and reporting.
Aid Manager in conceptualizing and developing programs on behalf of a diverse group of client partners, translating business and marketing objectives into effective digital media strategies.
Collaborate with the Marketing Strategy Managers, Marketing Intelligence and Data/Analytics teams to gather inputs and build digital media campaigns that will accelerate the growth of our clients.
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to inform audience construction recommendations and campaign learning agendas.
Help streamline and automate processes, from proposals to execution. Gather key campaign inputs like media plans, inventory availability and contracts. Consistently work to improve team processes and documentation
Support post-campaign check-ins with clients and agencies, sharing actionable insights.
Client-facing opportunities to present strategy, optimizations and results to key stakeholders.
Challenge the status quo, think outside the box, and provide stimulus for creative and innovative solutions.
Bachelor Degree, College Diploma, or certification in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or similar. 2-3 years of experience in a programmatic or digital media planning.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A strong communicator, who helps make Loblaw Media™ campaigns easy to understand and execute for our partners.
Ability to simplify all communications, often sharing technical information with non-technical people.
Understanding/familiarity of Demand Side platforms including Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Business Manager is an asset… in-platform experience is even better!
Ability to develop and present a POV and implications based on data, and present findings to teammates and stakeholders.
Collaborative and positive attitude, with passion for questioning assumptions and answering questions with data.
Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently.
Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
