About the Role
The Contract and Procurement (CP) Excellence Lead role sits within the LNGC Asset CP organization. The CP Excellence Lead is fundamental to the health of the LNGC organization, and requires a highly skilled, dynamic individual who will support the frontline and seek to provide not only what is required, but anticipate and evolve the space through deep curiosity, using commercial and business knowledge showing the frontline what is possible.

You will use your expertise to:

Functional Excellence: Help define and embed “what Good looks like” by replicating and embedding both internal and external leading best practices, tools, frameworks through hands-on support to the Frontline teams, while also working to implement a visionary and strategic shift to deliver a revolutionary End to End Supply Chain Experience. The role will bring a fresh external and “cold-eye” perspective to the Frontline teams, enabling an objective assessment of any gaps-to-Excellence and support to close these; Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Category Management and Contracting Process (CMCP), Post Award Contract Management (PACM), LEAN principles.
Assurance: Plan and manage annual assurance activities. Work in close collaboration with respective SMEs (Audit, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Legal, etc.) to drive compliance agenda (e.g. ABC, Export and Trade Controls, Group Records Management, etc.) and consistent ways of working across LNGC CP.
Interface & Stakeholder Management: Direct interfaces with all levels of the LNGC CP organization from frontline to CP Manager, as well as Finance, Contract Holders, Contract Owners, Legal, Project Services, and the Digital Team; experience of working in cross cultural teams preferred; Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels, create and nurture networks.
Reporting: Design, implement and maintain fit for purpose performance reporting framework aligned with reporting requirements (i.e. dashboards, consistent and meaningful KPIs recognized by CP and the Business) that facilitates streamlined automated reporting, proactive identification of the delivery risks and mitigation measures;
Act as SME for CP related tools & systems, primarily ICI (Icertis Contract Intelligence), SAP Blueprint, Sharepoint, PowerBI/Apps, MS Teams Channels, and Viva. Back-up support to other tools such as Valora and ProCon as required.
Prioritization: A dynamic, complex, evolving portfolio requiring flexibility and resourcefulness, whilst maintaining disciplined delivery in line with achieving CP & business goals; ability to prioritize between the frontline demands, system constraints and drive for simplification/elimination of “non-value” adding activities; ability to look beyond the immediate deliverable and see the bigger picture.
Affecting Change: Drive simplification and continuous improvement of CP performance and ways of working; ability to listen and quickly diagnose and identify improvement opportunities across a variety of settings/ businesses in close collaboration with Contract Management Teams and suppliers; deep understanding of the underlying premises, objectives, decision points and interfaces; effectively influence across cultural and business boundaries; strategic and analytical capabilities with courage to challenge current practices and identify improvement and simplification opportunities.
HSSE: Enable CP contribution to Goal Zero by sharing latest Contractor HSSE Management initiatives and best practices among CP staff.
Planning: Assist in planning & performance activities, target setting and value reporting process with deep understanding of the underlying premises, objectives, decision points and interfaces; Drive integrated annual business planning effort for LNGC CP (including Assurance planning activities), help to identify and drive strategic priorities and capital efficiency initiatives.
Contract Management: Develop contracting strategies, tactics, and contracts in accordance with the Contracting and Procurement Procedure Manual; understand contracting demand as well as local/regional market conditions and price levers; establish Contract Management Teams and seek improvements in the Post Award Contract Management space; ensure compliance to all governance requirements.
To be successful, you will have:

Post Secondary education in business, supply chain or other relevant fields including engineering.

Minimum of 10 progressive years’ experience in Oil and Gas, heavy industry, in Contracting and Procurement, supply chain, planning and performance.

Demonstrated experience in post award contract management, governance.

Comprehensive understanding of CP processes, systems and ways of working

Creative thinker capable of developing innovative solutions and a motivated self-starter with a track record of delivery.
