Job Overview
We are seeking experienced AP and IB Mathematics Tutors for various strands of Mathematics to work with high school students across Canada and the U.S. This is a remote, contract-based position ideal for tutors who are passionate about teaching, enjoy working with students, and value a flexible work schedule.
Duties
Conduct 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions through our virtual learning platform.
Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet each student’s learning style, academic needs, and goals.
Support students with coursework, assignments, internal assessments, and exam preparation for AP and IB Mathematics courses.
Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance to help students strengthen conceptual understanding and improve performance.
Maintain professional and clear communication with students, parents, and the academic team.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and independent thinking.
Requirements
Strong academic background in relevant AP and/or IB Mathematics subjects.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience required; AP/IB teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field preferred (Bachelor’s/Master’s), but not mandatory.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and online teaching skills.
Reliable internet connection and confidence using online teaching platforms and digital tools.
Ability to commit to a consistent tutoring schedule and maintain professionalism.
Required Equipment
iPad, tablet, or laptop with stylus support, or another setup that allows you to write clearly on screen during lessons.
Availability
A fixed weekly schedule is strongly encouraged; however, some flexibility may be required based on student needs and scheduling requirements.
Preferred Availability:
Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 8:00 pm
Saturdays, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
