Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our reputable dealership team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanic experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools and diagnostic schematics. This role involves performing a wide range of automotive repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The technician will also provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and efficiently. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics of vehicles using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Execute maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and filter changes
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately identify issues and solutions
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as needed for complex repairs or restorations
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair findings and recommended services
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety protocols including heavy lifting procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal certification as an Automotive Technician or equivalent recognized credential
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background in automotive repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Experience with vehicle assembly/disassembly processes is a plus
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle systems is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a professional automotive setting
Pay: $45.65 per hour
