We are looking an individual to manage all accounting duties and general office operations. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Managing Principal and is expected to be responsible for performing all accounting, HR, and administrative duties including:

  • Full cycle accounting including month end and year end close processes, journal entries, invoicing, bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
  • Manage all AR, AP, banking & treasury operations
  • Ensuring that the firm complies with all taxes including corporate income, HST and any other federal, provincial, or municipal filing requirements
  • Manage all payroll and benefits, reporting and filings
  • Setting up, monitoring and periodic reporting for project progress, billing, utilization, retainers, and extras
  • Recommending, implementing, and controlling all policies and procedures related to the firm’s financial and HR practices
  • Implementing and monitoring general company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for all other general office administration including negotiations with vendors, service providers and office procurement
  • Assisting and completing of various ad hoc projects as required by management


  • Professional accounting designation (CPA,CGA, CMA, CA)
  • University Degree (BA, Business or B Comm)


  • 7 or greater years accounting experience with at least 3 year in an intermediate or senior position
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is a huge plus
  • Advanced skills and knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel) is required
  • Experience with payroll providers such as Ceridian is preferred
  • Experience with the Manulife Financial benefits program is preferred
  • A history in interior design, architecture, or other project planning industries is beneficial
  • Must be able to work well in both a team and alone
  • Very strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Self starter that is able to manage and perform all responsibilities with little supervision
  • Detail oriented, capable of understanding and dealing with both the big picture and details
  • An ability and willingness work under pressure and meet all deadlines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary Range: $75,000 plus benefits

Salary: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
