We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our busy and growing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

Reporting directly to the Customer Experience Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operations related to ongoing projects within the company. This functional project management position will span between Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Customer Care and Project Execution deployment activities. They will lead projects with a full ‘end to end’ life cycle, including the execution of large-scale field deployment projects. This position does not have any direct reports.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead customer approved implementation projects
- Interact and engage with customers to successfully execute field deployment projects (including supporting the customer remotely as well as onsite as required)
- Create schedules and collect documents to orient and guide projects and outcomes
- Translate metrics into actionable, meaningful intelligence
- Manage expectations and track risks and benefits related to projects
- Communicate with senior management about scheduling, staffing and technical requirements
- Support continuous improvement meetings, production improvement, capital planning and manufacturing processes
- Engage with engineering and operations to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of assigned projects
- Prepare project proposals and is accountable for the successful completion of projects including budget monitoring and trend tracking.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong problem solving, project management skills
- Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize work with teams and manage activities to a schedule as a critical requirement to the position
- Must be very familiar with principles of Lean Manufacturing
- Must be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Poses excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft applications and CAD software
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience presenting and speaking in front of a group or meeting
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- University degree in with an Engineering focus and/or Diploma from a Community College or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience
- Green/black belt in Six Sigma considered an asset
- Lean Manufacturing training and experience
- Good working knowledge of OHSA and ISO 9001 Systems
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing ERP Systems
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft and CAD Software
- Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis training and experience
