We're looking for skilled, safety-first Underground Miners for term shutdown work in Rocanville, SK from end of June to end of August with the potential for extension. If you have 1-3 years of Underground Mining experience, connect with us today!
Responsibilities will include:
- Proficient operation of bolting equipment for ground support.
- Familiar with shaft grouting programs.
- Installation of rebar and concrete form work.
- Conducting pre-operational check and routine minor maintenance on underground equipment (i.e. Fluid checks, greasing, reporting defects).
- Assisting with scaling activities and ground condition assessments to ensure safe and stable work areas.
- Handling and transporting materials, tools, and equipment efficiently within the underground mine.
- Strictly adhering to all company and project safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Maintaining awareness of surrounding and other personnel/equipment to ensure safe operations at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including equipment cabs.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other personnel regarding daily tasks, equipment status, and any encountered issues.
- Assisting with other general underground support or labouring duties as project needs dictate.
Requirements:
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per client requirements.
- General Mine Safety Awareness certification.
- WHMIS (current within three years).
- Fall Protection.
- 1-3 years of experience as an Underground Miner, with a strong focus in a potash mining environment.
