Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks following all federal, province, and company regulations to transport freight efficiently across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
- Load and unload equipment using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavator, loader, forklifts to load or unload freight safely and efficiently
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle issues to minimize downtime during trips
Experience
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy trucks or tractor-trailers
- Knowledge of equipment operation and freight handling procedures
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and maintain compliance with transportation regulations
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
