As a growing company, Fix Network is looking for a Technical Trainer to join our team! The Technical Trainer position is an amazing opportunity to share your knowledge and expand your technical ability by working closely with our team and strategic partners. You would work closely with fellow technical trainers to learn best industry practices and train using the best tools and equipment available in a state-of-the-art training facility.
The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering Fix Network-developed training material, I-CAR certifications, training courses and training sessions on various collision repair-based topics. As a Technical Trainer, you will put your foot on the pedal and accelerate our brand towards new horizons.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership for developing and directing training initiatives along with the Network Strategic Learning Manager and the Learning Support Coordinator
- Gather and analyze information to design, develop, and deliver new training programs that are efficient and effective and have a positive impact on the organization
- Actively ensure training records are accurate
- Adapt training techniques to the learning style of the student
- Provide input on cross-training strategies
- Demonstrate in-depth process and system knowledge
- Develop and assist in the implementation of Continuous and Process Improvement ideas
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of training policy/SOP's
- Design and develop materials for all technical systems training.
- Present course material to franchisees through a traditional classroom approach, one-on-one coaching, in shop or other methods.
- Participate in various career days, school gala or classroom presentation,
- Collaborate with operations teams and Strategic Partners to support different certification initiatives
- Perform training needs analysis by assessing the skill level, performance, and competence of each learner
- Conduct validation activities, exams, and formal training plan reviews or updates, as applicable; make recommendations based on results
- Identify relevant training needs, documentation, and opportunities
- Establish and maintain familiarity with the latest in texts, materials, teaching aids, and training techniques relevant to the organization and its goals and objectives
- Generate positive attitudes and high morale in franchisees by nurturing a culture of cooperation and the enthusiasm
- Other related duties as assigned
Do you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in the collision industry
- Certified technician (Red-Seal)
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel Powerpoint)
- Experience in training new employees in that field - an asset
