Busy pet boarding facility requires committed, reliable individual for part time work.
We're looking for someone with flexible availability who can reliably work evenings, weekends, and additional hours during school breaks. *Applicants whose schedules align closely with these requirements will be given priority.*
Ability to cover time off requests and absences an asset.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable and prepared to work in all types of weather including rain, snow, heat and cold.
Qualifications:
- Attendance is very important as we are a small group
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask
- Reliable transportation - We are not on a bus route
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience working in pet care field
- Preference given to demonstrated experience with animals
Responsibilities:
- Feeding all pets, and administering medications as required
- Supervising dogs including monitoring all for behavioral concerns, general adjustment to social environment
- Making quick decisions regarding the well being of all canine
- Safe fecal cleanup - "poop scooping"!
- Cleaning floors, crates, doing laundry, and other cleaning as required
*Additional duties as required
This role offers a set number of part-time hours each week. We're looking for someone who is happy with a smaller, consistent schedule rather than seeking full-time or increasing hours.
Pay is dependent on previous experience.
