Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Ensure accurate delivery of products while adhering to schedules and routes
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal performance
- Assist with loading and securing freight to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery services
- Knowledge of forklift operation and freight handling preferred
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle maintenance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Prior experience in logistics or transportation industries is beneficial
