Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a busy restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes for both our Cafe and Catering.
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards across the restaurant
- Lead restaurant management activities including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining operational efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Conduct interviews for potential new hires and participate in team management activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service management
- Strong leadership with supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Skilled in team management, training, and staff development
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; barista experience or serving background is beneficial
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates effectively
