Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber/Pipe Layer to join our construction and maintenance team. We specialize in civil construction and private onsite wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, , as well as laying pipes in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols to ensure efficient project completion and adherence to industry standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that involve both residential and commercial plumbing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and specifications
- Lay underground piping using excavation equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and trenchers
- Operate heavy equipment including bucket trucks, rigging gear, and welding tools to facilitate pipe installation and repairs
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or faulty components
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and secure piping components
- Perform electrical work related to low voltage systems when necessary for plumbing controls or alarms
- Follow safety procedures when working with heavy equipment and electrical systems to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris appropriately
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and heavy equipment operation is essential
- Experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electrical systems including low voltage wiring is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and screwdrivers effectively
- Welding skills are advantageous for joining metal pipes or repairing damaged components
- Prior experience with rigging and bucket operation enhances efficiency on complex projects
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling physically demanding tasks while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should possess relevant technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic work environments.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
