Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff members to build a high-performing team dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Manage payroll, budgeting, and financial records with precision, including bookkeeping and cash handling responsibilities.
- Oversee purchasing decisions, inventory management, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations to optimize stock levels and sales efficiency.
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones while maintaining a vibrant store environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions focused on sales management, customer service excellence, and organizational skills.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, phone etiquette standards, and store policies while fostering a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising or leadership experience in retail management or a related field.
- Strong communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus).
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and store management.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members.
- Proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, marketing techniques, and retail sales operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong math skills for inventory control and financial analysis; attention to detail is essential.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with professional phone etiquette and communication skills.
