We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations of the front desk. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong administrative skills, and familiarity with dental office procedures. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining an efficient and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival using electronic medical records systems such as Cleardent
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
- Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing through office management software
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is completed prior to appointments
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and data entry
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a professional environment
- Handle appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist office setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Clearddent is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Dental terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Office experience involving front desk responsibilities and multi-line phone systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
- Prior experience in administrative roles within healthcare environments is advantageous
