Raise is currently hiring a Digital Workplace Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our client is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Digital Workplace Analyst with strong Business Analysis (BA) and Quality Assurance (QA) skills in this role will support the analysis, documentation, and delivery of digital workplace initiatives across Microsoft 365 and security platforms. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Workplace Services, this role will collaborate with Product Managers, technical teams, and leadership to support BA and QA activities and cross-functional deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Business Analysis
- Support product and project-related activities including facilitating requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Document and maintain business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for digital workplace initiatives.
- Conduct research and impact analysis on platform changes, feature updates, and new capabilities across Microsoft 365 and security tools
- Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, and technical teams to clarify requirements and manage expectations.
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies early and collaborate with the project team on solutions.
- Support change readiness assessments and contribute to end-user communication and adoption activities.
- Support product managers in tracking platform roadmaps, assessing upcoming changes, and preparing the organization to minimize operational and compliance risk.
- Contribute to corporate communications, governance documentation, compliance reviews, and operational runbooks as needed.
- Quality Assurance
- Work with technical team and stakeholders to understand features, expected outcomes and end user impacts.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for platform changes, policy updates, and feature rollouts.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), regression, and integration testing activities.
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Provide QA status updates and recommendations to the project team.
Qualifications

3+ years of combined BA & QA experience in an IT or digital workplace environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 platforms including Intune, Entra ID, Windows, Office, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Microsoft security and compliance tools such as Defender XDR, Purview, and Sentinel.
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps and validation frameworks.
- Experience documenting business requirements, user stories,process flows, test plans and standard QA principles.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of change management principles and end-user adoption practices.
- Experience with Veeam Cloud or enterprise backup solutions considered an asset.
- Exposure to governance, compliance, or records management frameworks considered an asset.
- Experience in enterprise digital workplace or collaboration environments considered an asset.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business

CBAP, CCBA, ISTQB, or similar BA/QA certifications considered an asset.
