Axcess Talent Management Solutions is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for an industrial manufacturing facility in southeast Calgary.
Pay: $35.00–$42.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: Expected to be day shift. Final hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance across industrial equipment and facility systems. This position supports safe operations, equipment uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and internal procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to reduce downtime and disruption to operations.
- Perform root-cause analysis on recurring equipment issues and recommend preventative solutions.
- Assist with developing and updating preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, work orders, corrective actions, and maintenance activities.
- Support the management of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance inventory.
- Identify critical replacement parts and assist with sourcing parts and coordinating external repairs when needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Use maintenance management software to document work, track preventative maintenance schedules, and complete work orders.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all health and safety requirements, including WHMIS, SDS, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.
- Assist with general facility maintenance and other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three to five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least two years of experience maintaining industrial or mechanical systems.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with industrial equipment, compressors, material handling equipment, and facility systems is an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues independently and prioritize work effectively.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and repair documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment involving standing, walking, bending, and working around operating equipment.
